Paperboys's Christmas

Paperboys’s Christmas of the two Barcelona newspapers: La Veu de Catalunya and El Diario de Barcelona

It was already an inveterate habit that newsboys, watchmen, porters, municipal guards, street lighting lamplighters… rounded off their salaries, usually low, with tips they were getting with Christmas cards. The two newspapers of Barcelona express very graphically their political ideologies with a very significant iconography. La Veu de Catalunya, a center-right newspaper eminently Catalanist, and El Diario de Barcelona, which uses the Spanish language and its interest focuses almost exclusively on the glories of the city. Both artists, designers and lithographic industries are the most common in the production of this type of form that were used by private businesses.
