The Museum of Montserrat releases new agenda for 2019
The Museum of Montserrat has published a book-agenda for the year 2019, a new product that combines a double function: the practical everyday use as a calendar and notebook, and also the dissemination of some emblematic artworks of the Museum’s collection. This agenda aims to be a friendly company in the course of the year, an object that prolongs in memory the gratifying moment that the visitor has been able to spend in the Museum of Montserrat.
In this first edition of the MDM Agenda we wanted to highlight artworks from the permanent exhibition where children are protagonists. Thus, the sculpture Maria Rosa (1948) by Joan Rebull stands out on the cover, while on the back cover you will find another sculpture, Girl with braids (1966), by Josep S. Jassans. At the beginning of the book, in Catalan and English, there’s a greeting from Fr. Josep de C. Laplana, director of the Museum. On a double page you can see the whole year with a single glance. Next, you’ll find every month of the year with some blank pages for notes. Each section is headed by the detail of a different work, all of them by very important authors of Catalan art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as Ramon Casas, Isidre Nonell, Joaquim Torres Garcia, Ramon Martí Alsina, Pere Daura or Josep Obiols, among others.
The book is the result of a very detailed edition by Editorial Mediterrània, with 140 pages and small format (10.5 x 15.7 cm). Presented in hard cover and illustrated in color, it incorporates a rubber elastic closure and also a reading point thread. The agenda is already on sale in Montserrat stores for € 10.50.
