New Museum's agenda for 2020
The Montserrat Museum has published a new book-agenda for the year 2020, thus repeating the good experience of last year. It is a product that combines a double function: the practical use of everyday use such as calendar and notebook, and also the dissemination of some emblematic works of the Museum's collection. This agenda aims to be a friendly company in the course the year, an object that prolongs in memory the gratifying moment that the visitor has been able to spend in the Museum of Montserrat.
In this second edition of the MDM Agenda portraits are the protagonists. Thus, the magnificent watercolour The Lady of the Umbrella (1912) by John Singer Sargent stands out on the cover, while on the back cover you will find an oil painting by Santiago Rusiñol, Mr. Bofill from Sitges (1892). At the beginning of the book, in Catalan and English, there’s a greeting by Fr. Josep de C. Laplana, director of the Museum. On a double page you can see the whole year in a single look. Next, you’ll find every month of the year with a few blank pages for notes. Each section is headed by the detail of a different work, all of them by very important nineteenth and twentieth centuries Catalan painters, such as Ramon Casas, Ramon Martí Alsina, Joaquim Sunyer, Joan Brull, Pere Daura, Olga Sacharoff or Núria Picas, among others.
The book is the result of a very detailed edition by Editorial Mediterrània, with 140 pages and small format (10.5 x 15.7 cm). Presented in hard cover and illustrated in colour, it incorporates a rubber elastic closure and also a reading point thread. The agenda is for sale in Montserrat stores for 8€, and also in the online store.
